SOCKEN/-S/CHAU7

Finished socks

The Pretty socks are finished and I am actually wearing them. They definitely are pretty and feel very good.

Weekend is over

... and was very good for my knitting! The second Pretty Sock is nearly done, just the toe decreases are missing. Might get that done tonight. Makes me feel good! Some new socks to wear and something else from my UFO list to mark it "done". Leaving me withthe decicion what to choose next...
... and wasn't good for finding missing things. Still no sight of the battery charger. So still no photos. Makes me feel bad!

SIP

After completing those socks and thinking about what to knit next I decided to finish things first before starting something new - so I pulled out a nearly finished first sock in a stripy Regia cotton yarn, India colours I think, and a pattern I got from Jeanie T. . I love the pattern. I love the yarn. But I think it wasn't the best idea to combine the two. I think I have another colour combo of the same yarn and I will do that one in stockinette or some zigzagging pattern. And I will definitely use Jeanie's pattern again with a solid yarn!
Yarn splits but is ok to knit with.

Finished socks

The socks for my Sweetheart made from Regia Galaxy yarn are finished. He immediately put them on and likes them. Colour, touch, the way the "galaxies" came out, and the fit. I did them toe up in stockinette stitch, heel with flap, 2/2 ribbing and a sewn bind off.
Yarn is nice to knit with. 2.25 mm bamboo dpn. Though I was first disappointed, thought it would make closed ellipses, but it is ok like this. Have another colour for me, something rusty reddish I think to remember.

FO

The socks are finished! They look great. Will start a pair for me now from the remaining yarn, also toe-up and see how far I'll get. Sorry for not posting any pics at the moment.

More progress

Glad that I've finally got back to knitting a bit more. Nearly finished the second sock for my Sweetheart. Toe-up, Lorna's Laces in spiralling browns with 2 mm dpn. I love to knit them, he loves to watch and touch them. They seem to fit as perfectly as the top downs I usually knit for him. Heel with gusset and heel flap as he needs the hight there and wouldn't be happy with a short row heel. Hopefully I can get at least a pair of ankle socks for me out of that yarn. Perhaps with toes and heel in a contrast colour!
Next yarn to be turned into socks for him will be a ball of Regia Galaxy! Cant wait to see those ellipses form themselves...

Just saw that the new KNITTY is out!

Lorna's Laces

Knit toe up this time, Sweetheart's sock is advancing and seems to fit so far. On trying it on it seems it might be a bit short but I had a well fitting sock for mesurements and so am assured they should fit ok. We'll see.

Sorry the pictures I just took were awful. Not postable!

LL Safari for Sweetheart

Checking out the picture I saw that you can see my foot in Broadripple sock and green Birks through the bars of the table...

News: Frogged! Too narrow. Restarted as toe-ups. Cast on was a pain with those 2 mm dpn. But I managed it!

Lorna’s Laces safari

The two skeins are wound it center-pull balls. While we were watching Le Roi Soleil, a French musical. Bought the DVD in Bretagne back in may and finally came around to watch it… Liked it very much.

Baby socks

These I knit a for a friend of ours who is expecting her first baby. It was the first time that I've knitted socks this tiny. Didn't like knitting them too much, too short rounds and was glad when I could bind off the second toe, but I do like the result which was really worth it! And they went fast! Hope they'll fit and will be comfortable.
